So how many of you participated in the beta weekend for Guildwars 2?
What races and classes are you thinking of going?
I am currently hooked on playing a mesmer or an elementalist and so far I like the norn or charr the most.
I can't wait for the next beta weekend or for the next stress test.

Date: 2012-06-11 12:12 pm (UTC)I played a human necromancer, the same character I played last beta and stress test. Definitely rolling the same come release. I was planning to play necro all along, but I didn't expect to love it so much. I tried other classes (namely thief and ranger) but just missed my necro the whole time. :)

Date: 2012-06-11 12:25 pm (UTC)I know what you mean about loving your necromancer. That's how I ended up feeling about my mesmer as I was playing her. I forced myself to test out other classes and other races just to see if I might like them. Originally I was just going to play an elementalist from the previews that I saw, but this weekend made me fall in love with my mesmer.

Date: 2012-06-11 12:35 pm (UTC)A bunch of Kralkatorrik's champions started showing up all over Plains of Ashford. Rytlock was there, and we were to protect him. As people fought them and were killed, they were turned into crystal abomination type things that were then hostile to all other players. So it slowly started turning into world PvP where those who'd been turned were fighting against those who hadn't. Eventually everyone was meant to be turned (or close to) and the final boss was to be Rytlock.
All the while, the Shatterer was flying overhead, keeping an eye on his minions. It was epic. :)
